I know Chickens eat Grubs, and other Bugs! How animals can be used to control pest?
Certain ';beneficial'; insects can be used to control garden pests. Ladybugs eat aphids, Preying mantis are voracious eaters of damaging bugs, nematodes can be sprayed in ones yard to destroy a specific type of insect - fleas, Japanese beetle larva, for example, certain compounds fertilize plants while proving poisonous to feeding caterpillars.
On a larger scale, goats will eat poison oak and invasive weeds, cats will kill moles, gophers and small rodents that damage plants or vie for fruit/vegetable crops.
