they do not workWhat is a good electronic pest control device to buy?
A very hard old house problem. Electronic repellers just don't work. It takes a sustained effort to get them down and keep them down. A major thing is to deprive them of food. That's sometimes hard when you have kids or pets, but it's the only way to begin. No matter what, if they're fed, they'll be back. And eliminating things like old wood laying under the house or stacked around it outside, can give you a fighting chance to keep them down, once you get them down. What you can't control are neighbors. You may not like poisons, but you may need them to get rid of some of what are already living in the house. It's hard to seal up their ways in in an old house, but you have to try. If you find a fool-proof solution, you can probably make money with it.
Er... I guess everyone say it right. Electronic pest control device is not really that useful in getting rid of roaches. Immediate solution might be to use pesticide sprays.
For a long term plan, I suggest you look at the prevention measures. Here's a few tips.
- Put screens over windows, vents, floor drains and ducts. They can be roach highways and hideaways.
-Remove old boxes and papers. The fewer places roaches can hide, the better.
- Keep areas outside your home free of trash, wood piles and leaves.
- Use sticky (glue) traps to find areas where roaches may be hiding.
- Use a trash can with a tight lid. Avoid placing your trash can under the sink. Empty the trash can often. Put garbage in closed plastic bags.
Remember, prevention is an on-going process. So keep at it!
I have no idea if they worked, but I found this article--How to control pest in your house--wish it may help you--http://asontvproducts.blogspot.com/2009/02/riddex-pest-repeller.html
